Work Parties 

"The Friends" try to provide opportunities for volunteers to experience some practical assistance in the management of the valley and we hope to organise a number of work parties throughot the year.  The work will normally comprise vegetation or litter clearance as well as work in clearing the leats to help keep the turbine running.

Booking for these events is not essential but is preferred. Call Graeme Miller on 01726 852606. There is, of course, No Charge.

Light refreshments will be provided but bring a packed lunch, if needed.  Some tools and gloves can be provided but but please wear suitable clothing and sturdy boots.  Please bring any appropriate hand tools which you are comfortable using.

TREVANNEY DRY

We plan to clear one of the settling tanks that is choked with brambles and other vegetation.

WHEEL PIT

We plan to clear the wheel pit of brambles and other vegetation and, if time and numbers allow, tackle the 'plinth' at the back of the wheel pit.

Wellies advisable.
