A full day walk along the 'Velvet Path'
An attempt to re-discover the route of 'The Long Drive' or Velvet Path, a 19th century private carriageway which ran between Pelyn - the seat of the Kendall family, and Luxulyan Vicarage. Bring sturdy footwear, suitable clothing and a picnic lunch.

Carnglaze Caverns
An illustrated talk by Caroline Richards about this former slate mine which operated as a rum store during the 2nd World War, and is now an impressive concert venue and educational resource. It houses the mineral collection of Mervyn Trudgeon who worked all his life in the China Clay industry.
