Vegetation Control.
Come and get your hands dirty! Join Paul Mason, the Luxulyan Valley Ranger, and The Friends of Luxulyan Valley to help with some practical management of the Valley. We will be clearing invasive vegetation at Trevanney Dry but please come back to the 'Notices' section of this website nearer the time for full details or see posters.
Bring good walking shoes or boots, old clothes, protective gloves, drink and packed lunch if staying all day.
Park at Ponts Mill car park. Map ref: SX 072 562 and walk up the lower tramway path to the dry. (About 1/4 mile)

Flying Fur.
In conjunction with Cornwall Wildlife Trust an evening walk in the Valley listening to and spotting bats using the latest electronic bat detectors, with Dr Carol Williams from the Bat Conservation Trust.

Clay Country Tour with Ivor Bowditch of Imerys.
Coach Tour of the clay country taking in Fowey and a rare opportunity to travel down the private road that was the former rail link between Par and Fowey. The coach will return at around 3.00pm. Refreshments will be available.

Monday 19 January 2009 – 7.30pm
The Cornish Birds of Prey Centre visit.
Andy Grigg, the centre's falconer will bring with him a selection of birds of prey including a Golden Eagle. He will explain their feeding habits and habitat. A chance to get close to these beautiful birds and stroke an owl.

Archaeology in the Luxulyan Valley.
A guided walk around the Valley to look at the historic remains from its industrial past with John Smith from Cornwall’s Archaeology Unit.
